Martin Masák (born May 26, 1976 in České Budějovice , Czechoslovakia ) is a former German - Czech ice hockey player who was active in Germany for the Dresdner Eislöwen , the ETC Crimmitschau , the Lausitzer Füchse , the EV Ravensburg and the EV Lindau .
Career
Martin Masák began his career in his hometown in the youth team of HC České Budějovice , for which he made his debut in the play-offs of the 1995/96 season in the Extraliga . In the following season he had 13 missions in the Extraliga and two missions in the European Hockey League , before he moved to HC Excalibur Znojemnští Orli in 1997 in the first division . In the summer of 1999 he accepted a contract offer from the Dresdner Eislöwen . In the following six years he played for the Eislöwen in the ice hockey league and in 2005 achieved promotion to the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga with the team . However, Masák did not get a contract extension for the second division, so he moved to ETC Crimmitschau . With the Eispiraten, he advanced to the playoff semifinals of the 2005/06 season and thus again achieved promotion to the second division. Again he did not get a contract with the newcomer, but switched to the Saxon competitor, the Lausitzer Füchsen . In the following two years he played for Weißwasser and had to play-downs with them in both years . In 2008 the foxes were relegated to the league, so that Masák signed a contract with the EVR Tower Stars. The defender stayed there for a year before he moved to the national division EV Lindau , but was unable to play due to his wrist injury.
Masák has been training the EV Ravensburg amateur team since the 2017/18 season.
