Martin Nuñez , full name Pablo Martin Nuñez , (born February 2, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.65 meter tall midfield and offensive player Nuñez was in 2008 in the ranks of the Carolina RailHawks . There he scored five goals in 28 league appearances. This led to the fact that he reached the final of the selection for "Rookie of the Year". In 2009, he completed 14 league games in the USL First Division for the Puerto Rico Islanders (other sources report 15 games) and was a total of five times for the club in the CONCACAF Champions League in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons . In 2010 and 2011 he played for Miami FC in the USSF D2 Pro League (9 appearances / 1 goal) and under the new name Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the North American Soccer League (29 appearances / 5 goals). In 2012 he stood in rows of the then still Minnesota Stars called Minnesota United . His usage statistics at this station show 28 games with six goals or 25 games and five goals, depending on the sources. In August 2013, he rejoined the Fort Lauderdale Strikers for the 2013 fall season, for which he had played a total of 42 games and scored ten goals by early 2014. In February 2014 he extended his engagement in Florida again. Other sources lead him to 40 league appearances for Fort Lauderdale with eleven goals by the end of December 2014. In the free months in which he is not tied to other teams, he plays (as of July 30, 2014) to keep himself fit, as well as for Uruguay Kendall FC, founded in 2006 by Uruguayans living in the USA, in the USASA members of SSM Premier , a suburban league in Miami . On December 23, 2014, he joined the Tampa Bay Rowdies . So far (as of July 15, 2017) he has played 16 games in the NASL and scored three goals. He was also used once (no goal) in the US Open Cup .
