Martin Oldenstädt (born November 27, 1924 in Barnstorf ; † November 21, 2004 in Verden ) was a German engineer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school and then doing military service as a naval officer, Oldenstädt began studying surveying at the Technical University of Hanover in 1948 , which he achieved in 1958 with the second state examination and in 1960 with a doctorate in engineering. finished. He had worked in a surveying office since 1951 and was licensed as a surveyor in 1959.

In 1960, Oldenstädt co-founded a surveying office community in Wittorf , which he later took over. From 1963 to 1987 he was deputy chairman and from 1987 to 1989 managing director of the BDVI . In 1995 he retired.

In the 1972 federal elections , Oldenstädt was elected to the German Bundestag via the state list of the CDU Lower Saxony , to which he initially belonged until 1976. Here he was a member of the Committee on Education and Science.

On September 11, 1979, Oldenstädt moved to the Bundestag via the state list of the CDU Lower Saxony for the resigned MP Philipp von Bismarck , to which he then belonged until 1987.
