Martin Baring

Martin Otto Friedrich Karl Maximilian Baring (born November 10, 1904 in Leipzig ; † December 13, 1989 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and Senate President at the Federal Administrative Court .

biography

Baring came from the Baring family . He was the son of the lawyer Adolf Baring , attended the Royal High School in Dresden and the universities in Göttingen , Kiel and Leipzig , where he completed a law degree and initially worked as a court and government assessor. Most recently he was Senate President at the Federal Administrative Court.

In 1960 Baring became 2nd chairman of the Berlin Legal Society, of which he was president from 1969 to 1972.

In his spare time, Baring loved hiking and studying art and cultural history. He had been with Gertrud, born in 1931. Proud, married and had three children with her, including the historian Arnulf Baring .

His grave is in the Dahlem cemetery .
