Martin Rønning Ovenstad (born April 18, 1994 in Drammen ) is a Norwegian football player .

Career

Ovenstad started his career at Mjøndalen IF . He made his professional debut in April 2010 in the 1st division when he was in the starting line-up against Moss FK on matchday four of the 2010 season and was replaced by Baboucarr Sarr in the 58th minute .

After 36 games in the second division Ovenstad moved to the first division club Strømsgodset IF for the 2012 season . He made his debut in the Eliteserien in June 2012 against Hønefoss BK in the 85th minute for Øyvind Storflor . At the end of the season, Ovenstad had three league games for the club from his hometown of Drammen . The following season he became a master with Strømsgodset. In the championship season he played 13 league games and was able to score his first goal in the top Norwegian league on matchday 15 against FK Haugesund . In the following season he again completed 13 games. In the 2015 season, Ovenstad was slowly able to assert himself: The midfielder came to 27 league games, of which he completed 15 from the start.

In January 2017 Ovenstad moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz , with whom he received a contract valid until June 2019. In February 2018 it was awarded to Stabæk Fotball back to Norway .

In August 2018, his contract with Sturm Graz was terminated. In September 2018 he returned to Strømsgodset IF.
