Martin Seidemann

Martin Seidemann (born January 28, 1950 in Berlin ) is a German painter and graphic artist and honorary professor at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art .

biography

Martin Seidemann studied from 1967 to 1969 in evening study graphics at the Art College in Weissensee (now weißensee arts college berlin ). From 1972 to 1977 he studied painting at the art college. Between 1977 and 1981 he received a graduate scholarship from the Berlin magistrate . From 1983 to 1986 he was a master class student at the Academy of Arts in the GDR .

The painter and graphic artist has been working as a lecturer for Art Therapy Berlin, college for further education and research at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin since 2000. Since 1990 he has held various teaching positions at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, and since April 2011 he has also been an honorary professor in the art therapy master’s course . In addition, between 2003 and 2006 he was a visiting professor in the field of Artistic Basics.

As a lecturer he also taught at the University of Applied Sciences (HTW) Berlin in the field of design as well as at various independent academies, among others. a. at the Bad Reichenhall Art Academy and the Marburg Summer Academy, where he has been artistic director in the field of visual arts since 2014. Since 1988, the works of Martin Seidemann can be seen regularly in international and national exhibitions.
