Martin Tatzber

Martin Tatzber (born December 8, 1893 in Sommerein ; † May 27, 1958 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and farmer . Tatzber was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1949 to 1958 .

After attending elementary school, Tatzber learned the trade of stonemason and did his military service from 1914 to 1918 during the First World War . He then worked for the consumer association from 1919 to 1939 and took over his parents' farm in 1928. In addition, he became involved in the local council of Sommerein from 1919 and was mayor there between 1924 and 1934. He lost his post as a result of the Social Democratic Party banning and was drafted again for military service during World War II from 1944 to 1945.

After the end of the war, Tatzber was SPÖ district party chairman from 1949, between 1953 and 1958 regional chairman of the working farmers' union and from 1955 to 1958 mayor of Trautmannsdorf . He also represented the SPÖ in the Lower Austrian state parliament from November 5, 1949 until his death in 1958.
