Martin Wolfer

Martin Wolfer (born August 25, 1947 in Vienna ; † 1999 ibid.) Was federal physician for the St. Lazarus Relief Organization in Austria and federal physician for the Austrian Albert Schweitzer Society . He was the Grand Commander and Hospitalier of the Order of St. Lazarus in Austria .

Life

Martin Wolfer was born in Vienna as the son of Oberkirchenrat Prof. Mag. Jakob Wolfer . After attending the private Luther school in Vienna-Währing, he graduated from the Humanist High School Vienna XVIII in 1965.

In 1968 he founded the music group " Golem ", with which he won the ORF Show-Chance in 1971 (the largest Austrian music competition), appeared in radio and television programs and produced records. In 1973 he received his doctorate from the University of Vienna as “Dr. med. univ. ".

In 1974 he was appointed Federal Doctor of the Lazarus Relief Organization in Austria. In 1979 he founded the Waldviertel department of the Lazarus Relief Organization at Peigarten Castle. The areas of expertise are helping children and those in need in the region. In 1983 he became Grand Commander of the Order of St. Lazarus and in 1984 he was appointed Hospitalier of the Order of St. Lazarus. In 1986 he became a federal doctor for the Austrian Albert Schweitzer Society .
