Martin Zeiher

Martin Zeiher (born May 17, 1952 in Freiburg ; † October 25, 2019 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from the St. Blasien college , Zeiher studied forest sciences in Freiburg and passed the forest state examination in 1981. He then worked as a valuer and speaker at the Freiburg Forestry Directorate. From 1991 to 1994 he was deputy head of the state forestry office in Müllheim . In 1994 he became head of the state forest office in Schönau in the Black Forest , which in 2005 was assigned to the district office of the Lörrach district .

Martin Zeiher was married and had two children.

Zeiher became a member of the CDU in 1982. In 1991 he was elected to the board of the CDU district association Waldshut . In the state elections in 1996 he won his first mandate in constituency 58 (Lörrach) and moved to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , to which he belonged until 2001.
