Mary Callahan Erdoes
Mary Callahan Erdoes (born August 13, 1967 ) is the CEO of JPMorgan Private Bank , also known as JPMorgan's asset management division . She is currently (2011) the 84th most powerful woman on the Forbes list .
Life
Callahan Erdoes was born on August 13, 1967 to Patrick Callahan, partner at the investment bank Lazard Freres , and Patricia Callahan, who was known in Chicago for fashion and philanthropy . Mary Callahan Erdoes met her husband Philip Erdoes at Harvard Business School. They live in New York City with their three daughters.
Education and career
Callahan Erdoes received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Georgetown University . She was the only woman at the time who could complete her degree in mathematics at this university. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School .
She started her career at Stein, Roe & Farnham , referring to her maternal grandmother who had helped her find a job during her college days. She described her job there as a glorified job in the mail room . She then moved to Bankers Trust in the Corporate Finance , Wholesale Business and High Yield Notes departments. Prior to joining JPMorgan, she was employed by Meredith, Martin & Kaye , a fixed income advisory firm, where she was responsible for credit research, trading and individual portfolio management . In 1996 she joined JPMorgan as Head of Fixed Income Securities. In March 2005, she was promoted to CEO of JPMorgan Chase . She has also been traded as a possible successor to JPMorgan Chase & Co CEO Jamie Dimon . She is also active on the UNICEF Supervisory Board .
From June 11th to 14th, 2015 she took part in the 63rd Bilderberg Conference in Telfs-Buchen in Austria .
