Matías Russo (born September 4, 1985 in Paraná ) is an Argentine racing car driver .

Career

Matías Russo celebrated his first successes in motorsport in the South American monoposto sport . In 2001 he was third overall in the South American Formula 3 championship . This was followed by second places in the South American Formula Super Renault Championship in 2003 and 2004.

In 2008 he joined the racing team of his compatriot Luís Pérez Companc in international motorsport. He drove a Ferrari 430 GT in the 2008 FIA GT Championship and made his debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2009 .

In the 2000s, he competed in the European and American Le Mans Series as well as in the International GT Open . In 2016 he drove an Audi R8 LMS in the Italian GT Championship .
