Mathias Ladurner-Parthanes

Mathias Ladurner-Parthanes (born June 29, 1927 in Merano ; † August 3, 2018 ) was a South Tyrolean farmer , local researcher and politician .

biography

The son of the farmer and folklorist Matthias Ladurner-Parthanes attended elementary school and secondary school in Merano and Hall in Tyrol . After the Second World War , he completed several agricultural courses and began to work at the family-owned Parthanes wine farm in Gratsch , which he subsequently took over.

Ladurner-Parthanes was politically active in the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP) for many years . From 1973 to 1988 he held a mandate as a farmer's representative in the South Tyrolean parliament and thus also in the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol . From 1981 to 1983 he was Vice-President of the State Parliament, from 1983 to 1984 Vice-President of the Regional Council and from 1984 to 1989 he was a member of the regional government as an assessor for land and agricultural credit institutions, savings and Raiffeisenkassen as well as regional credit institutions .

Like his father, Ladurner-Parthanes published articles on local history, especially in the magazine “ Der Schlern ”.
