Mathias Vergels (born April 24, 1992 in Ukkel ) is a Belgian actor and musician .

Life

Mathias Vergels studied at the Kunsthumanoria in Antwerp . He was first seen in the lead role in the children's play Wolf en Hond by Johnny De Meyer, which won the 2010 Children's Jury Prize at the Spekken Children's Theater Festival. He had his first small roles as a film actor in 2010 in the film Bo by Hans Herbots and in 2011 in the television series Pieter Aspe - Murder in Bruges . In 2011 he won both Jelle Florizoone the lead role in the film North Sea Texas by Bavo Defurne in which he a gay played youth. Since 2012 he has played the character of Lowie Bormans in the soap opera Thuis . In 2012 he was also in the films Mixed Kebab by Guy Lee Thys and Allez, Eddy! by Gert Embrecht as well as in an episode of the television series Parade's End - The Last Gentleman . Vergels also starred in an episode of the TV series Binnenstebuiten in 2013.

In addition to his acting activities, Vergels is part of the band The Village as a singer and guitarist . He lives in Sint-Genesius-Rode .
