Mathilde Sessi (actually: Mathilde Gabriele Alexander or Alexander-Sessi , married Erlanger , born May 23, 1846 in Vienna , † December 27, 1934 in Nieder-Ingelheim ) was an Austrian opera singer .

She was the daughter of the kuk chief accountant Achilles Alexander (and thus a granddaughter of the opera singer Victoria Sessi ) and his wife Maria Antonia. Her talent for singing was only discovered after training as a piano player. In 1867 she made her debut in Graz as Gilda in Rigoletto . Appearances at renowned houses in Vienna, Paris and London followed quickly. After her marriage in 1873 to the German banker Ludwig Gottlieb Friedrich von Erlanger , she withdrew from the stage. The couple had three children, Espérance, Blanche and Margarethe, Freiinnen von Erlanger.
