Mathis Gazoa Kippersund Bolly (born November 14, 1990 in Oslo , Norway ) is an Ivorian-Norwegian football player .

Career

societies

In his youth, Bolly, whose father is from the Ivory Coast , played for various Norwegian clubs. In 2005 he moved to Lillestrøm SK where he was in the professional squad from summer 2008. From 2008 to 2012 he played a total of 60 games in the Tippeligaen , the highest Norwegian league. He also played in the NM Cup .

In January 2013 he signed a contract with the German Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf that was valid until 2016. The transfer fee was 500,000 euros. On March 3, 2013 (24th matchday) he made his debut in a 1-1 draw in the home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 with a substitute for Robert Tesche in the 60th minute. On March 9, 2013 (25th matchday), he scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 3-2 defeat in the away game against FC Bayern Munich with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 16th minute.

On June 22, 2016, SpVgg Greuther Fürth announced its commitment with a two-year contract. Bolly's time at Greuther Fürth was marked by persistent injury problems. After he had already missed a large part of the first half of the 2016/17 season due to injury and made 16 league appearances (1 goal) during the season, he was unable to play the entire first half of 2017/18 due to muscular problems. At the beginning of 2018 he broke his fibula in the winter training camp and also sustained injuries to the syndesmosis and inner ligament, so that he was also unable to complete the second half of the season. His contract, which expired in summer 2018, was not extended by the club.

National team

In 2009, Bolly played three games for the Norwegian U-19 national team. In October 2012 he was in the squad of the U-21 national team, but was not used.

In May 2013, Bolly was nominated for two games in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup the following month for the first time for the national team of Ivory Coast . On June 7, 2013 he made his debut against Gambia . Bolly was part of the Ivory Coast squad for the 2014 World Cup and was, together with Ben Halloran ( Australia ) and Stelios Malezas ( Greece ), the first Fortuna Düsseldorf player since 1978 to take part in a World Cup, where he was in the preliminary round game of Group C came on in the 73rd minute.
