Martin Maties

Martin Maties (born April 12, 1976 in Dortmund ) is a German law scholar and university professor .

Life

From 1996 to 2000 he studied law at the Ruhr University Bochum (degree: first state examination in law ). From 2002 to 2004 he did the legal preparatory service at the Regional Court of Bochum (degree: second state legal examination). From 2001 to 2003 he was a doctoral candidate at the chair for labor, economic and social law, Rolf Wank in Bochum . From 2005 to 2011 he was a habilitation candidate at the chair for labor, economic and social law, Rolf Wank in Bochum ( venia legendi for civil law, labor and social law). In 2011/12 he was professor at EBS Wiesbaden and in 2012 professor at the University of Hamburg. Since the summer semester 2013 he has been professor for civil law, labor and social law and methodology at the University of Augsburg .

He has been director of the Research Center for eSport Law ( FeSR ) at the University of Augsburg since 2019 .

Outside of his university career, he has been a certified etiquette trainer since 2018 .
