Matt Centrowitz
Matt Centrowitz (actually Matthew Centrowitz; born January 28, 1955 in New York City ) is a former American middle and long distance runner .
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he was eliminated over 1500 m in the run.
In 1979 he won over 5000 m at the Pan American Games in San Juan and was sixth at the World Cup in Athletics in Montreal .
At the Athletics World Cup in Rome in 1981 he was again sixth over 5000 m.
From 1979 to 1982 he was four times in a row US champion over 5000 m.
His son Matthew Centrowitz is a successful middle-distance runner.
