Matt Freije
Matthew Wayne "Matt" Freije (born October 2, 1981 in Overland Park , Kansas ) is a Lebanese - American basketball player .
Freije is 2.06 m tall and weighs 108 kg and plays in the position of power forward . He started his athletic career at Vanderbilt University . In the 2004 NBA Draft , he was selected at No. 53 by Miami Heat and then played for the New Orleans Hornets and the Atlanta Hawks . He then moved to Puerto Rico to Brujos de Guayama.
From October to December 2007 he was under contract with the German Bundesliga club Artland Dragons where he replaced the injured Rich Melzer .
