Matt LeFever

Matthew LeFever (born 1977 or 1978 in New Jersey ) is an American football coach and former player.

Life

LeFever played football as a student at Ocean City High School and from 1997 to 2000 at Western Connecticut State University . With 5762 yards from passing, the quarterback topped the college team's all-time leaderboard. He switched to the professional camp and was in 2001 in the indoor football league af2 player of the Mid-South / Memphis Xplorers . In 2002 he was in the same league with the Cape Fear Wildcats under contract.

In 2006 and 2007 LeFever strengthened the Hamburg Eagles in Germany's second division, in spring 2008 he was signed by the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes , so he moved to the top German division, the GFL . With the team from the state capital of Schleswig-Holstein , he was in the final of the German championship at the end of September 2009, but lost to the Braunschweig Lions . In Kiel his brother Greg was his teammate. In 2009 he joined the Hildesheim Invaders , for whom he initially played in the second division until 2011, then in the regional division. In the 2012 season he was employed as an attack coordinator for the Hannover Spartans (Regionalliga). In 2016 he played again in Hildesheim and was part of the coaching staff.

In the run-up to the 2017 season he took over the position of head coach at the Starnberg Argonauts , in September 2017 he returned to the Hildesheim Invaders (now in the GFL) in the same position. At the beginning of September 2019, he was removed from office in Hildesheim after three defeats in a row.
