Matt Redman
Matt Redman (born February 14, 1974 in Watford ) is an English songwriter and worship leader .
Live and act
Many of his songs (eg. The Heart of Worship , Blessed Be Your Name , Once Again ) are - in the original or in translation - sung in church services around the world and, among others, were Michael W. Smith and St. James Rebecca gecovert . Redman wrote many of his newer songs with his wife, Beth. His song 10,000 Reasons from 2011 is sung around the world and has long been at the top of the CCLI charts.
As a teenager, he helped set up the Soul Survivor organization alongside Mike Pilavachi and led worship at the annual Soul Survivor Meetings and in the church in Watford .
Redman is also the author of three books on the subject of praise and worship, 'The Unquenchable Worshipper', 'Facedown' and 'Blessed Be Your Name'. He wrote the latter together with his wife Beth.
Matt Redman now lives in Burgess Hill (near Brighton ) with his wife Beth and their children Maisey, Noah, Rocco, Jackson and Levi . He is a regular artist at Europe's largest Christian music festival, the Big Church Day Out in southern England at the end of May. He also appears irregularly in Germany and Switzerland, for example in 2013 together with Martin Smith and in May 2020 with the Casting Crowns.
