Chris Tomlin

Christopher Dwayne Tomlin (born May 4, 1972 in Grand Saline , Texas ) is an American Christian musician and preacher.

biography

He used to work for the Austin Stone Community Church and has a record deal with the record label "sixstepsrecords", which is owned by EMI . Tomlin also frequently leads church services. Some of his most famous songs are How Great is our God , Jesus Messiah , Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) and Our God , which he wrote with Matt Redman , Jesse Reeves and Jonas Myrin . He currently holds services at Passion City Church in Atlanta , Georgia with Louie Giglio and Christy Nockels .

He was awarded the GMA Dove Award three times for best male singer (from 2006 to 2008). He was also "Artist of the Year" 2007. Tomlin released his seventh studio album, And If Our God Is for U… , on November 16, 2010. He is a member of Compassionart , one of Martin Smith (from the band Delirious? ) and his wife Anna founded a non-profit organization .
