Matthew Vaniakizhakel CV (born December 23, 1945 in Kaithappara ) is Bishop Emeritus of Satna .
Life
Matthew Vaniakizhakel joined the religious order of the Vincentine Congregation of Malabar and was ordained a priest on December 18, 1972 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Satna on December 18, 1999. The Grand Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly , Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil CSsR , consecrated him on April 12 of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Abraham D. Mattam CV, Former Bishop of Satna, and George Punnakottil , Bishop of Kothamangalam .
Pope Francis accepted his resignation on August 27, 2014.
