Matthias Albrecht (born January 31, 1973 in Hamburg ) is a German politician. He was a member of the 20th Hamburg Parliament ( SPD ).

Life

Matthias Albrecht was born in Hamburg and grew up there. After graduating from high school, he broke off a computer science course and did his military service in the Air Force. At the age of 19 he moved to Berlin , where he trained as a landscape gardener and was later a trainer in a cemetery gardening company in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district .

Political career

Matthias Albrecht has been a member of the SPD since 1992, was district chairman of the Jusos Berlin-Neukölln from 1996 to 1998 and from 1999 a district councilor in the Neukölln district council assembly , most recently as deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group until 2008. From 2001 to 2008 he held the post of office manager in the Bundestag office of the former member of the Bundestag and Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Economics and Labor , Ditmar Staffelt (SPD), who resigned from his position as a lobbyist at the European aerospace group EADS . At the end of 2008 Albrecht moved back to Hamburg and took on a position as district manager of the SPD in the Hamburg-Wandsbek district .

Hamburg citizenship mandate

In the state elections in Hamburg in 2011 , Matthias Albrecht was elected to the citizenry at 34th place on the state list . He sat for his parliamentary group in the submission committee, in the budget committee and its subcommittee on ICT and administrative modernization and in the environment committee. He was the energy expert of the SPD parliamentary group. In the 2015 general election, he ran for position 22 on the state list, but lost his mandate.

Albrecht is a member of the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold , the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) and the ver.di union .
