Matthias Böhme (born July 23, 1987 in Berlin ) is a German volleyball player.
Career
Matthias Böhme started his volleyball career in 1995 at SV Preußen Berlin in Hohenschönhausen . From 2000 he played in the youth team of SC Charlottenburg and a short time later also at VC Olympia Berlin . In 2006 he moved to Bundesliga club Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen . In the 2009/10 season he became the league's top scorer, and in 2010/11 he was third in this ranking. In 2011 Matthias Böhme left his home in Berlin and switched to evivo Düren . After a season in Düren he was signed by the Greek first division club Foinikas Syros . However, he only stayed there for six months until the end of 2012 before moving to Belgium to join Argex Duvel Puurs . From 2015 to 2016 Böhme played again with the Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen.
Matthias Böhme has an older brother, Marcus , who also plays volleyball.
