Matthias Baader Holst
Matthias BAADER Holst (actually: Matthias Holst ) (* 1962 in Quedlinburg ; † June 30, 1990 in Berlin ) was a German writer. After Andreas Baader and the Berlin Dadaist Johannes Baader, he took the name BAADER, which he always wrote in capital letters .
In Halle , Holst, the son of an English lecturer at what is now the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences and an administrative manager at the sports institute there, completed an apprenticeship as a construction worker after leaving the advanced high school . He later became a librarian in Halle. From 1984 he held readings and actions with Peter Winzer and Heiko Beige . In 1988 he moved to Berlin and from then on he took part in artistic activities with Peter Wawerzinek . At the same time he acted as a singer and lyricist in the music groups "Die last Recken" and "Frigitte Hodenhorst Mundschenk". From 1989 he played in the last-mentioned formation together with the then Feeling-B keyboarder and today's Rammstein musician Christian "Flake" Lorenz .
Holst was hit by a tram on June 23, 1990 at the corner of Oranienburger Strasse and Friedrichstrasse in Berlin and succumbed to his injuries a week later.
