Matthias Freivogel

Matthias Freivogel (born March 23, 1954 , legal resident in Gelterkinden BL ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Freivogel is a lawyer with his own law firm. In 1975 Freivogel joined the SP . From 1998 to 2005 he chaired the SP of the canton of Schaffhausen . He has been a member of the cantonal parliament since 1989 , which he presided over in 2007. At times he was President of the Permanent Commission of the Cantonal Council for Cross-Border Cooperation. In 2011 he ran for the Council of States , but was clearly defeated in the second ballot to the non-party Thomas Minder .

Freivogel is a member of various organizations such as B. the Juristenverein, VCS or the WWF .
