Matthias Sempach

Matthias Sempach (born April 10, 1986 ) is a former Swiss wrestler .

Swing

Sempach is part of the Kirchberg Wrestling Club . At a height of 194 cm, it weighs around 110 kg.

At the 2013 Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Burgdorf , he was king of wrestling with eight wins from eight courses. In the final corridor he faced Christian Stucki . In 2014, as the reigning king of wrestling, he was also able to win the Kilchberger Schwinget , something that only Ernst Schläpfer had achieved before him . On August 10, 2018, he announced his resignation due to another herniated disc .

Private

Sempach completed an apprenticeship as a farmer and butcher and trained as an agricultural manager. In 2019 he took over a farm in Entlebuch, Lucerne, and lives there with his partner Heidi Jenni and their son and daughter. The two of Heidi Jenni's parents were able to take over the farm.

Honors

Sempach was named “Wrestler of the Year” in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and received the “golden wreath” award.
