Christian Stucki

Christian Stucki (born January 10, 1985 in Aarberg ) is a Swiss wrestler .

With the Kilchberger Schwinget 2008 and the Unspunnen Schwinget 2017, he won two of the most prestigious wrestling festivals. At the federal wrestling and alpine festivals he was once king and thus first (2019), once second (2013), twice third (2004 and 2010) and once fourth (2007). As the second wrestler after Jörg Abderhalden, he succeeded in the so-called "Wrestling Grand Slam" with victories at the Unspunnen, Kilchbergschwinget and the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival.

Career

He won the first five fights at Kilchberger Schwinget in 2008 with the maximum grade of 10. In the final course , he was faced with his association colleague Matthias Sempach . Since Christian Stucki had a big lead, a "put" (undecided) fight was enough for him.

In the final course of the 2013 Swiss Wrestling Festival , Christian Stucki lost to Matthias Sempach, who was the new king of wrestling.

At the Swiss Wrestling Festival 2019 in Zug, he became the oldest wrestling king ever after his victory in the final course against Joel Wicki at the age of 34 years and seven months.

So far (March 2020) Stucki has won 41 wreath celebrations. He won a total of 128 wreaths, including 6 federal, 19 cantonal, 68 partial association and 35 mountain wreaths.

In the official annual points list of the Swiss Wrestling Association , Stucki was ranked 33rd in 2019.

Life

Stucki grew up in Diessbach near Büren . He is a trained forest warden and has been working as a chauffeur since 2006. As a member of the Zeeland wrestling association, he is a member of the Bernese-cantonal wrestling association. At 198 cm tall, he weighs 140–150 kg. He is married with two children and lives with his family in Lyss .

In 2019, he was the first wrestler ever to be named Swiss Sportsman of the Year at the Sports Awards .
