Matthias M. Sigurðarson (born August 31, 1991 ) is a former Icelandic ice hockey player who last played until 2012 in the second team of Stjernen Hockey in the second highest Norwegian league, the 1st divisjon .

Career

Matthias Sigurðarson played his entire ice hockey career in Norway with Stjernen Hockey , where he was initially used in the U19 team, but made his debut in the second men's team in the 1st division at the age of 16 . After the 2011/12 season, he ended his career at the age of just under 21.

International

Matthias played for Iceland as a teenager. He took part in Division III of the U20 World Cup in 2010 , where he was named the top scorer and together with the Turkish Cüneyt Baykan top scorer as the best striker of the tournament, and Division II of the U20 World Cup in 2011 .

Matthias played for the men's national team in Division II at the 2010 , 2011 and 2012 World Championships .
