Matthias Strzoda

Matthias Strzoda (* 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German musician . He is mainly a drummer and associates with the so-called Hamburg School .

Live and act

After Matthias Strzoda at the debut in 1987 of Bernd Begemann The answer & played the drums, he worked on several albums by Andreas Dorau with and also acted as a live musician for him. He has also played in the Hamburg band JaKönigJa , Rocko Schamoni & Little Machine and the Frank Spilker group since 1998 . In addition, he was on tour once as a tour drummer with The Go-Betweens and appeared with them on US television. Matthias Strzoda is also active as a solo artist and has published the song Cup of Coffee under the pseudonym Californiae . On 27 February 2009 was published in cooperation with Carsten Meyer also known Erobique the vinyl - EP What Are You Do? under the name Tex & Erobique . Since 2008, the two musicians have increasingly appeared successfully as a duo with always improvised live sets .

Strzoda was the fourth founding member of Studio Braun , along with Rocko Schamoni , Jacques Palminger and Heinz Strunk . He only took part in the first CD Talks 1 and on previous releases by the former quartet under the name Studio Bach .

He can also be seen as an actor in the operetta Dorfpunks - The Flowers of Violence in a double role at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg . He also plays in the movie adaptation of the novel Dorfpunks of the same name .

Matthias Strzoda lives in Hamburg.
