Matthieu Gonet (born September 7, 1972 in Paris ) is a French pianist, conductor, music arranger and film composer.

Life

Matthieu Gonet began taking piano lessons at the age of three. When he was 10 years old, he played the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the French television series "Mozart" by Marcel Bluwal .

After his studies he was involved as a pianist or arranger in a number of productions by Daniel Mesguich at the Comédie-Française and worked as an arranger for French chansonniers such as Bernard Lavilliers , Anne Sylvestre and Lio . In autumn 1998 he conceived the stage show “Brecht, ici et maintenant” at Chaillot together with Hanna Schygulla and accompanied Hanna Schygulla on the piano

Gonet was musical director for seven episodes of the French TV series Star Academy from 2001 to 2007

Prizes and awards

2017: Beijing International Film Festival, best music for “Fleur de Tonnerre”, together with Sylvain Goldberg
