Santa & Co. - Who will save Christmas? (Original title: Santa & Cie ) is a French Christmas film directed by Alain Chabat from 2017.

action

Santa Claus is in the preparations for Christmas. During a routine inspection in the factory, one of his Christmas elves suddenly falls over. Shortly afterwards, all the other 92,000 elves passed out. Together with his wife Wanda Claus, he researches that the entire community is affected if only one of the elves falls ill. However, the fruit of an Australian plant would help. The two continue to research that this is probably the vitamin C they need.

So Santa goes to earth with his sleigh to get 92,000 vitamin tablets. But the search is more difficult than expected. He has to make an emergency landing in Paris and discover there that the earth is a little more complicated than expected. His visit to a pharmacy ends with his arrest. At the police station he meets the lawyer Thomas, who just had to get his cranky brother Jay out of jail.

Santa can win the trust of Thomas' family. Both his wife and the two twins Maëlle and Mathis help poor Santa, who simply cannot make friends with what is happening on earth. After all kinds of intricacies and bizarre situations, 92,000 vitamin tablets have finally arrived. This he stowed in his Kiepe , but that Jay did not go unnoticed. He steals the box and tries to use it in his magic show, which goes terribly wrong when he conjures the birthday child away and cannot get out.

A wild chase develops with the police and Santa Claus. Finally Santa can recapture his box. When he got home, however, he found that the tablets were no longer there. But Maëlle and Mathis had already written a letter to Santa Claus beforehand and included a vitamin tablet. This single tablet cured the elves. This means that he can deliver all the gifts on time.
