Mattia Moreni
Mattia Moreni (born November 12, 1920 in Pavia , † May 29, 1999 in Brisighella , Province of Ravenna ) was an Italian painter .
Mattia Moreni completed an art degree in Turin . He was a representative of abstract painting in Italy.
From 1952 to 1954 Mattia Moreni belonged to the Italian artist group “ Gruppo degli Otto ” (he was also a founding member) along with artists such as Afro Basaldella , Renato Birolli , Antonio Corpora , Ennio Morlotti , Emilio Vedova , Giuseppe Santomaso and Giulio Turcato .
Moreni lived and worked in Paris for many years .
His works of art have international relevance. Mattia Moreni was a participant in documenta 1 in 1955 and documenta II in 1959 in Kassel .
He died on May 29, 1999 in Brisighella.
