Matwei Fyodorovich Kazakov
Matvey Kazakov ( Russian Матвей Фёдорович Казаков * 1738 in Moscow , † October 26 . Jul / 7. November 1812 greg. In Ryazan ) was a Russian architect.
Kazakow worked during the reign of Catherine II. He developed an individual classicism based on the baroque . Its most important building is the Senate Palace (1787) in the Moscow Kremlin .

- 1787–1790: Potemkin Palace in Dnepropetrovsk
The asteroid (5544) Kazakov was named after Kazakov .
