Matwei Sergeevich Subov

Matwei Sergejewitsch Subow (internationally mostly: Matvey Zubov , Russian Матвей Сергеевич Зубов ; born January 22, 1991 in Kamensk-Uralsky , Sverdlovsk Oblast ) is a Russian cyclist .

As a junior driver, he was initially mainly active on the track . He won the silver medal in the team pursuit at the Junior World Championship in 2008 . The next year he won the world title there and in the points race he won bronze. He also finished tenth in the individual time trial on the road .

In the adult sector, Subow joined the Russian Katusha Continental Team in 2010 . In 2011 he was the Russian U23 runner-up in road racing . In 2012 he switched to the UCI Professional Continental Team RusVelo , but could not achieve any top placements. He then drove for smaller teams and won a stage of the Five Rings of Moscow in 2015 and 2017 .
