Maubach is a district of Backnang in Baden-Württemberg , about 24 km northeast of Stuttgart in the Rems-Murr district between the cities of Backnang and Winnenden .
history
The village named after Maubach was first mentioned as Mubach on April 11, 1245 , when Pope Innocent IV confirmed the possessions of the Backnang Abbey here.
The previously independent community with the village of Maubach and the school building (old school) was incorporated into Backnang on July 1, 1971.
politics
The area of 1971 incorporated municipality Untermaubach forms a town within the meaning of Baden-Württemberg municipal code with its own eight members existing Ortschaftsrat .

The blazon of the former municipal coat of arms reads: "In a red shield a golden oblique right bar, accompanied above by a golden orb with an attached cross, below by three (2: 1) right-slanted golden ears."
