The Mauracher court ensemble is a historically significant, picturesque architectural monument in the district of Sand von Gries-Quirein , a district of Bolzano in South Tyrol . It borders immediately to the north on Treuenstein Castle .

The High Middle core Hofanlage is located at Rafensteiner path (Nos. 1-3) and owes its present appearance of architectural elements of the 16th century as a quadrangle oriel on corbels the first floor, a arched entrance and in particular a projecting part of the building on circular arcs.

The older name of the farm was Rorer or (Ober-) Rorer am Fagen , it was not until 1664 that the younger name began to establish itself with the owner Andre Mauracher. Around 1327 an Ulricus dictus Rorer paid a basic interest rate to the Upper Bavarian Premonstratensian Monastery of Schäftlarn . As late as 1435, Elssen im Rör or Elsen im Ror (Elisabeth Rorer) is the older court name in the Gries church provost accounts.

The court ensemble was placed under monument protection in 1951 and 1955 due to its historical and architectural importance .

In 2006, a foundation set up specifically for this purpose, named after Dr. Viktoria Schulz-Steinkeller (Munich 1906 - Bolzano 2005) named Steinkeller Foundation , which Mauracherhof has restored and a funding program designed to preserve and preserve the historical fabric of rural residential buildings.
