Maurice Barthélémy

Maurice Barthélémy (born January 24, 1871 in Saales , † March 31, 1922 at Château d'Alteville in Tarquimpol ) was landowner, mayor and member of the second chamber of the regional assembly of Alsace-Lorraine .

Maurice Barthélémy attended several schools in France and lived as the owner of large forests at Château d'Alteville in Tarquimpol, where he was also mayor. From 1900 he was a representative of the canton Saales in the Lower Saxon district assembly .

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran in the constituency of Albesdorf-Dieuze as a candidate for the Independent Lothringer Party. In the first ballot, 3,218 votes were cast in the constituency out of 4,899 voters. Maurice Barthélémy accounted for 2,520, the candidate of the center , Erhard 472 votes. Maurice Barthélémy was a member of the state parliament until 1918.
