Maurice Péquignot

Maurice Péquignot (born June 12, 1918 in Les Pommerats ; † March 4, 2013 in Biel ; resident in Les Pommerats) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Life

Family and work

Maurice Péquignot, son of the watchmaker Alfred Alcide Péquignot and his wife Georgine Marie Cécile née Voisard, completed the teachers' seminar in Pruntrut after attending school in Saignelégier . As a result, he held primary school teaching positions from 1938 in Epiquerez , from 1945 in Les Emibois in the municipality of Muriaux and from 1947 in Saignelégier. In 1969 he was appointed school inspector , a position he held until his formal retirement in 1983.

Maurice Péquignot married Simone Thérèse Julia, the daughter of Marcel Pierre Montavon, in 1952. He died in March 2013 at the age of 95 in Biel.

Political career
