The Hussars "King William I" (1 Rheinisches) Nr. 7 was a cavalry joined the Prussian army .
history
The regiment was established in 1815 as the 7th West Prussian Hussar Regiment, among other things, from troops from the former Silesian National Hussar Regiment and had its garrison in Posen . It was stationed in Bonn from 1852 until the association was dissolved . The hussars were subordinate to the 15th division . Since 1857 the regiment had the name of the chief , the Prussian king and later German emperor Wilhelm I as an addition.

The regiment took part in the Wars of Liberation in 1813/15, in the Prussian-Austrian War in 1866, in the Franco-German War in 1870/71 and in the First World War.
