Karl Heinrich Traugott Freiherr von Rheinbaben (born November 1, 1781 in Soldin ; † May 3, 1843 in Neisse ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and Lord of Reichenau and canon of the collegiate monastery of St. Peter and Paul in Halberstadt .

Life

The Rheinbaben family received the status of imperial barons in 1736 from the Saxon-Weimar Chancellor Georg Wilhelm von Rheinbaben . Heinrich was the son of the Prussian captain a. D. , most recently head of the disabled company of the “von Crousaz” infantry regiment , Kaspar Heinrich von Rheinbaben (1743–1809) and his wife Karoline Sophie, née Rolla du Rosey († 1793).

Military career

Rheinbaben took effect on 1 November 1795 as Junker in the Hussars Regiment of the Prussian army and was promoted to mid-April 1803 second lieutenant . In his assessment, Major General von Barnekow wrote : "Lively character, practical cavalry officer, full of zeal for service, scientifically educated and tirelessly anxious to work for the benefit of the highest service."

Rheinbaben married Dorothea Maria Amalie Bauck (1789–1810) on July 20, 1809 in Kasimirsburg (Köslin district). From the marriage the son Theodor August Heinrich (1810–1864) emerged, who took his leave as captain and was married to Josepha Baby.

After the death of his first wife, Rheinbaben married Adelheide Wilhelmine Helen von Zychlinski (1787–1855) in Treppln (Guben district) on January 29, 1812. The couple had two children:
