Karl Friedrich Bernhard Helmuth von Hobe (born October 16, 1765 in Jürgenstorf , † December 25, 1822 in Cologne ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and knight of the order Pour le Mérite .

Karl Friedrich Bernhard Helmuth came from the old, originally Mecklenburg noble family von Hobe . He was the son of Ernst Johann von Hobe († 1794) and his wife Helene Sophie, born von Blücher (1738–1777) from the Gorschendorf house.

Military career

Hobe joined in 1778 as Junker in the hussar regiment "Belling" the Prussian army and took to 1779 the Bavarian Erdbfolgekrieg and 1787 the invasion of Holland in part. In 1795 Hobe was promoted to staff assistant master , 1803 to captain and squadron chief and in 1805 to major .

During the Fourth Coalition War , he fought in 1806/07, including the Battle of Jena (October 14, 1806).
