Maurice protection
Maurice Schutz , born Paul Maurice Schutzenberger , (born August 4, 1866 in Paris , France , † March 22, 1955 in Clichy-la-Garenne ) was a French actor and veteran of domestic cinema.
Live and act
Since the last years of the 19th century, Schutz had had a long career at Parisian theaters such as the Grand Théâtre, the Théâtre du Vaudeville , the Théâtre Sarah-Bernhardt and the Théâtre de la Gaîté , before he had worked at the beginning of the 20th century underdeveloped cinematography came across. Only interrupted by the First World War , Schutz has been involved in an abundance of cinema productions since 1914, in which, with increasing age, he often embodied high-ranking gentlemen (aristocrats, patrons, academics, etc.). In 1930 Dreyer took on protection again, this time with the leading role of the old lord of the castle in the still largely silent horror story Vampyr - The Dream of Allan Gray . In 1939 Schutz was seen with a small role in Julien Duvivier's Retirement , and in Jacques Becker's rural peasant drama A Fatal Family , the then 76-year-old played the 106-year-old head of the family Goupi-L'Empereur in 1942. The following year Marcel Carné gave him a tiny part in the legendary film Children of Olympus .
