Mausham is a village in the municipality of Bayerbach near Ergoldsbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . On October 8, 2015, the place had 405 inhabitants.

Geographical location

Mausham is located immediately south of the core town of Bayerbach and is connected to the LA 28 district road via a local road . The Mühlbach flowing through the village is a right tributary of the Bayerbacher Bach . The Bayerbacher Bach itself runs on the north-western outskirts.

history

The first evidence of the place Mausham is in an excerpt from 1434 from the Salbuch of the monastery St. Paul in Regensburg. Several documents are known from the 15th century that prove the place as the seat of the Maushamer family and as Hofmark . In 1497 Mausham consisted of a Sedelhof and four houses. 1542 is the last year for which the Maushamer are recorded as owners of the Hofmark. After that, the Hofmark changed hands several times. In 1752 Mausham consisted of twelve properties. Of these, the Hofmarkherrschaft was half a yard and the other properties were Sechzehntelhöfe d. H. the houses and gardens of farm workers and artisans.

When the municipalities in Bavaria were established due to the municipal edicts, Mausham was assigned to the rural municipality of Feuchten . The village with 119 inhabitants is recorded in the Bavarian gazette of 1877. In 1964 the municipality of Feuchten was dissolved and Mausham was incorporated into Bayerbach.
