Gera Bach is a Kirchdorf the community Bayerbach bei Ergoldsbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . On December 31, 2018, the place had 104 inhabitants.

Geographical location

Gerabach is located northeast of the core town of Bayerbach on the state road St 2328. The creek of the same name flowing through the town is a right tributary of the Bayerbach creek .

history

Gerabach was first mentioned in a traditional book of the Diocese of Freising, which covers the years 1230 to 1232. The Reichsstift Niedermünster also had properties in and around Gerabach, as can be seen from the monastery's Salbuch from the 13th century and later in 1444. The Niedermünster Abbey apparently had larger contiguous areas because, in addition to Gerabach, the nearby hamlets of Dürnaich , Mausloch and Feistenaich are also mentioned as belonging to the property. The ecclesiastical possessions of the Middle Ages were separate areas of law, which later mostly became court brands . Gerabach also became Hofmark.

From 1500 secular owners of the Hofmark zu Gerabach appear. In the 17th century the Hofmark passed to owners who were also owners of Köllnbach and Unholzing . Probably for this reason the Hofmark Gerabach belonged to the district court of Rottenburg as an exclave in the area of high jurisdiction ; it was surrounded all around by the area of the Kirchberg Regional Court .

In 1752 Gerabach was an open Hofmark owned by a Count von Arco . The Hofmark comprised eleven properties in Gerabach and two properties each in Dürnaich and Mausloch.

In the first official register of the Kingdom of Bavaria from 1877, Gerabach is listed as a municipality with 207 inhabitants. Of these, 103 lived in the village of Gerabach. At that time the parish village of Pram as well as the hamlets of Dürnaich, Mausloch and Nißlpram and the Einödhof Lottokreut belonged to the community . Administratively, the community belonged to the Mallersdorf district office .

Gerabach existed as an independent municipality until 1946. In that year it was incorporated into Bayerbach.

The furnishings and the dome of the tower are baroque .
