The Mavrovouni ( Greek Μαυροβούνι (( n. Sg. )) Or Parnias Παρνιάς) is a mountain in the northeast of the Peloponnese . It is listed as the northern branch of the larger Oligyrtos massif. The mountain rises to 1695  m . In the north the Kyllini Mountains (Ziria Ζήρεια) join and in the west the massif is bounded by the Feneos plateau, while to the east is the Stymfalia plateau .

It is mostly forested with Greek firs . As part of the EU Directive 92/43 / EU on the conservation of natural habitats and wild animals and plants, the area was protected as SCI GR2530004 Oros Oligyrtos . The Hellenic Ministry for the Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works has described the NATURA network, mapped it and published it on its website.

Villages in the area are (starting clockwise from the north): Mosia, Kastania, Karteri, Lafka, Mati, Achladies and Amygdalia.
