The Max Buchhauser Garden is located in Regensburg on the north side of the Danube on the B 8 and is a sight of the city due to its impressive sculptures.

Max Buchhauser was a gardener and hobby sculptor in Regensburg and owner of a nursery. A large part of his gardens, including the greenhouses, had to give way to the construction of the Upper Palatinate Bridge. What remained was a field about the size of a soccer field, which is narrowed between the Europakanal and Frankenstrasse. This garden is known for its up to three meters high and sometimes as wide grotesque sculptures along its north and south sides, which are visible from the street and the bridge, but also from the canal.

This free sculpture garden is impressive in its monumentality and because of its bizarre and whimsical character. It has therefore become one of Regensburg's smaller landmarks. The sculptures are a deliberately chaotic mixture of styles from several eras. From the Egyptians , through the Greeks , the Romans , Nazi art to naive sculpture : all styles and cultural epochs are represented. In their combination, they reach an unexpected complexity.
