Max Odoy
Max Odoy (born June 26, 1886 in Siemianowitz , Upper Silesia , † January 8, 1976 in Lindhain , Cottbus district , GDR ) was a German painter, graphic artist and book illustrator .
Odoy studied at the Königlich Kunst- und Kunstgewerbeschule ( Art Academy from 1911 ) in Breslau under Arnold Busch and Eduard Kaempffer . At this school he later led drawing courses for teachers.
He was a co-founder of the "Association for Fine Arts" in Upper Silesia and a member of the " Artists Association of Silesia ", here specifically the " Group 1922 ". He lived in Wroclaw and painted landscapes, figural scenes, portraits and nudes . His illustrations of children's books were also popular.
