Max Rehm

Max Rehm (born May 17, 1896 in Erlangen , † May 14, 1992 in Nürtingen ) was a German lawyer and historian.

family

Max Rehm was the son of the lawyer and professor for constitutional, international and canon law Hermann Rehm (1862–1917) in Strasbourg and Lina born. Birkner (1874-1908). Max Rehm lived in Nürtingen until his death.

job

Max Rehm spent his childhood and school days in Strasbourg. After graduating from the Protestant grammar school there, he took part in the First World War as a war volunteer from 1914 to 1918 . The study of law and political science followed. He then worked in the local government as a city councilor. Rehm received his habilitation in public law at the University of Frankfurt . From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War. In 1947 he entered the service of the Württemberg Savings Banks and Giro Association. In 1947 he was one of the founding fathers and the first director of the Württemberg Sparkasse School, which later became the Württemberg Sparkasse Academy. Until 1962 he was director of this academy. In addition, Dr. Dr. Max Rehm worked for many years as a lecturer at the Stuttgart State Administration School, the predecessor institution of the Ludwigsburg University of Public Administration and Finance .

In 1977 Max Rehm was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg .
