Max Schneider (doctor)

Max Schneider (born October 21, 1904 in Radelfingen , † August 13, 1979 in Losone ) was a Swiss-German physiologist .

After studying medicine , Schneider worked from 1928 to 1932 as an assistant at the children's clinic and at the Physiological Institute of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and then moved to the Physiological Institute of the Georg August University in Göttingen . From 1939 to 1943 he worked at the Physiological Institute of the Medical Academy in Gdansk. In 1943 he was appointed full professor at the Institute for Normal and Pathological Physiology of the Medical Faculty of the University of Cologne , where he worked until his retirement in 1971. In 1957 he was accepted into the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina .
